Ver-Mac, a North American leader in traffic control solutions and smart work zones, announces the creation of a new Connected Solutions Business Unit, formalizing and strengthening the company’s long-established leadership in connected and software-driven work zone technologies.
With more than 35,000 devices connected to its platform, Ver-Mac operates one of the largest connected work zone ecosystems in North America. The creation of this dedicated business unit strengthens the company’s ability to deepen its expertise, accelerate product development, and broaden the reach of its real-time, device-originated data solutions across agencies, contractors, OEMs, and mobility platforms.
To lead this next phase, Ver-Mac appoints Serge Beaudry as Senior Vice President, Connected Solutions.

For nearly two decades, Ver-Mac has integrated connectivity across its equipment portfolio — from portable connected message signs and traffic sensors to connected arrow boards and worker presence technologies. Beyond product innovation, the company has contributed to shaping how work zone data is generated in the field, standardized, and delivered across the broader mobility ecosystem.
As connected work zones move from pilot initiatives to institutionalized infrastructure programs, the stakes are increasing. Agencies are demanding scalable deployment models. OEM manufacturers and navigation providers require reliable, standardized, high-quality data feeds. Expectations around interoperability, cybersecurity, and data governance continue to rise.
The Connected Solutions Business Unit centralizes leadership around this strategic domain and aligns dedicated sales and software development teams to accelerate innovation, commercialization, and broader market adoption.
Serge Beaudry brings more than a decade of leadership at the forefront of connected work zone development. His contributions span three pillars that underpin today’s digital work zone infrastructure:
At a time when fewer than 20 organizations were engaged in early work zone data standardization discussions, Serge was already contributing to the architecture that supports today’s connected work zone ecosystem.
Serge has played a central role in defining Ver-Mac’s connected product roadmap, guiding the expansion of its connected and smart work zone portfolio while strengthening the JamLogic® ecosystem. His appointment formalizes executive leadership around a domain where Ver-Mac has already achieved significant market presence and credibility.
“Serge was the natural choice to lead this new business unit,” said Marc-Antoine Moisan, President of Ver-Mac. “He has been instrumental in shaping not only Ver-Mac’s connected product strategy, but the industry’s digital framework itself. He understands the technology, the standards, the ecosystem, and most importantly, how to turn data into safer roads. This new structure gives him the dedicated resources and focus to scale that vision.”
As agencies formalize connected work zone programs and OEM manufacturers embed real-time work zone intelligence into vehicle systems, the market is entering a phase defined by reliability, interoperability, and sustainable deployment. Delivering trusted, standardized, device-originated data is no longer optional — it is foundational to modern traffic management and digital mobility strategies.
Through the creation of the Connected Solutions Business Unit, Ver-Mac reinforces its leadership in work zone technologies and its commitment to investing in solutions that deliver measurable operational value. By concentrating expertise and accelerating innovation, the company is strengthening its ability to support customers with dependable connected technologies that improve safety, increase efficiency, and enhance return on investment.
Ver-Mac is not redefining its direction — it is reinforcing what has defined the company for decades: practical innovation, field-proven performance, and a clear focus on making work zones safer and more efficient every day.
