ERROR DETECTION

• To monitor signal heads for faulty operations, these must be in real time and continuous. The detection of an error must be within 450 milliseconds and the flash rate of 60 fpm with 50% duty cycle.

CONFLICT MONITORING

• When a default condition is detected this will automatically change the system to a default mode.
• Events logged conditions are stored and retrievable.

Here is an example of the fault conditions that must be detected:

1. Two or more lamps are displayed simultaneously on any one signal head
2. Absence of display at any phase
3. Displaying simultaneous indications, other than red, on conflicting phases.
   • Green to Green
   • Green to Yellow
   • Yellow to Yellow
   • Or any color other than red displayed on any phase during a red clearance interval
4. When communication is lost between the TTLS
