In addition to our outstanding reputation for portable electronic message signs, Ver-Mac has a lesser-known but no less impressive record for the design, fabrication, installation and system integration of fixed VMS. These range from relatively small canopy signs for toll plazas to immense walk-in signs for highways. Some of our signs have been in continuous service since 1999, and all have demonstrated our exceptional quality and reliability in the most extreme environments.
Examples of the variety of projects we have successfully completed include:
- The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario has installed over forty fixed Ver-Mac VMS since 1999. In challenging environments of extreme temperatures (-30ºC to +40ºC annually), road salt splash, snow, ice and high wind loading, these signs have performed flawlessly year after year.
- The Ministère des Transports du Québec has installed fourteen full-matrix walk-in VMS on major highways, each 33 feet in length and 10 feet in height.
- The State of Arkansas has installed eight 16.5ft x 6.5ft front-access VMS.
- The State of Mississippi owns thirty-five Open/Close weigh station signs.
- In 2007, we completed our most challenging project of this type in which we furnished and supervised the installation of over seventy fixed VMS and our Centralo™ NTCIP Control Center software for network management. The system was supplied to the Bay Area Transit Authority for “FASTRAK” toll plazas on six bridges in and around San Francisco.
Clearly, this record of accomplishment is second to none in the industry. We have the capacity, the expertise and the experience to meet any specifications, no matter how rigorous, demanding or unique, and invite any inquiries. |
