The 2011 Best Innovation Practice Award was given to the Vermont Agency of Transportation in collaboration with Ver-Mac and Worksafe Traffic Control for the RWIS (Road Weather Information System) Automation project. The project consisted of collecting data from the weather stations, analyzing and automating messages on roadside variable message signs to warn travellers of current road surface and weather conditions. Ver-Mac was a major contributor to the success of this project by providing the analysis of the weather station data, the logic and automation that determines the messages to display, as well as supplying the road side variable message signs.

Touchscreen Controller
The latest product innovation from Ver-Mac Inc. is the Touchscreen Controller for message board and traffic signal control. This 7-inch color, LCD, pressure sensitive display screen is not simply a viewing tool. It is also an input device that affords the user with the ability to interact directly with the hardware screen with their finger or any stylus-like object.
